Real Madrid stars laugh at Liverpool before Brazil - Croatia friendly

At 9pm today (June 3), Brazil and Croatia will have a friendly match before the 2018 World Cup at Anfield - Liverpool's home ground. Before the match, Real Madrid's star trio Marcelo, Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic took the opportunity to take a photo next to the Liverpool logo in the tunnel.

Many Liverpool fans believe that all three were mocking the port city team's defeat to Real Madrid in the recent Champions League final in Kiev. Mateo Kovacic posted the photo on his personal page and faced fierce criticism from fans.

"Disrespectful" and "Stupid act" were the phrases fans used to describe the photo on Kovacic's personal page. The former Inter midfielder had to remove the photo immediately after posting.

Winning a ticket to the Champions League final with impressive performance, Liverpool still had to accept a bitter 1-3 defeat against defending champion Real Madrid due to immaturity in tactics and individual mistakes, especially in the position of goalkeeper Loris Karius.

At 9pm tonight, Brazil and Croatia will enter the final friendly match to test the squad before starting the campaign at the 2018 World Cup.
