The Ho Chi Minh City Police Newspaper has just announced a film project titled "Fire Files." According to the production team, this is considered the longest-running television series in the history of Vietnamese cinema. The project was filmed from 2017 to 2020.

The series is based on real cases that have shocked the country over the past 40 years, since the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Newspaper. The script was written by writer and journalist Lai Van Long and several other screenwriters.

With a record number of episodes, the series features a star-studded cast including Binh Minh, Quy Binh, Manh Truong, Luong The Thanh, Vo Thanh Tam, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, singer Minh Hang, Nha Phuong, Trang Nhung...

Hai Nhat, the actor famous for his role as Nam Cam, will play a police colonel in the new film.

At the film's premiere in Ho Chi Minh City on November 17th, the team announced that the first part of the project is titled "Code Name D9." The film was recorded live on set. This part features the participation of Meritorious Artist Chi Trung, actors Hai Nhat and Truong The Vinh, Top 8 Miss Earth 2016 Nam Em, Top 5 Miss Vietnam 2012 Phan Thi Mo, and others. In particular, artist Hai Nhat plays a police colonel, while beauty queen Nam Em portrays a female detective.

Filming is scheduled to begin on November 21st and the series is expected to air from March 2017.
