Turkish citizens demand the expulsion of the US from Incirlik Air Base.
Over 90% of the Turkish population opposes the presence of US-NATO troops and demands that the US be "expelled" from Incirlik Air Base.
Against the backdrop of a large-scale crisis in US-Türkiye relations, the issue of closing the Incirlik air base, which houses US troops and NATO allies such as Germany, has once again been raised on the Turkish social agenda.
For Turkish society, this move represents one of the most effective responses to the sanctions Washington has imposed on Ankara.

Incirlik Air Base plays a crucial role for the US-NATO in the Middle East. |
Currently, American soldiers themselves are hesitant to leave the base area for fear of negative reactions from the local residents of Incirlik, the area where the military base of the same name is located. The population of this area is approximately 40,000 people.
This is not the first time in Türkiye that calls have been made to shut down Incirlik.
For example, a wave of strong protests against the facility's operations arose after the local community realized that during the July 15, 2016 coup attempt, refueling aircraft took off from the Incirlik base to refuel the F-16s used by the coup plotters.
Local residents, as well as regional representatives of various political parties in Türkiye's Adana province (where the base is located), have sharply criticized Washington's actions in its relations with the US and demanded the immediate closure of the Incirlik base and the disbandment of the NATO troops stationed there in response to US sanctions.
Abuzer Tuncer, a resident of Incirlik village, stated that US President Donald Trump must be insane to have chosen Türkiye as a target for attacks.
The US has waged war against Türkiye and the entire global economy. Washington does not want Ankara to lead a developed and prosperous country. In fact, they are the main enemy of the Turkish people.
Washington is not delivering the weapons it paid for to Ankara, while simultaneously supplying weapons to Türkiye's enemies, the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG). Furthermore, the US is acting unreasonably and arrogantly by opposing Turkey's purchase of S-400 missiles from Russia.
