Manchester United took the lead but still had to settle for a draw because of Fellaini.
Manchester United continued their inconsistent run of form in the Premier League after a 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.
Manager Jose Mourinho and midfielder Paul Pogba returned after serving a one-match suspension. Meanwhile, new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan made his first official appearance, replacing Juan Mata on the right wing, pushing the Spanish midfielder to the bench.
Manchester United started cautiously at Goodison Park. Both Everton and MU engaged in a fierce battle in the early minutes. However, in reality, the home team had more dangerous opportunities. Unfortunately, their final shots lacked accuracy.
Meanwhile, MU continued their cautious style of play, looking for counter-attacking opportunities. Marcos Rojo nearly got sent off in a two-footed tackle on Gueye, but luckily the Argentinian only received a yellow card. Both teams played quite aggressively.
The surprise came in the 42nd minute when Martial played a beautiful through ball to Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker chipped the ball over goalkeeper Stekelenburg to open the scoring. The first half ended with Manchester United holding a significant advantage.

In the second half, Mourinho's team deliberately slowed down the pace of the game, dropping deep to protect their lead. However, MU almost doubled their lead when Herrera's shot hit the post. Meanwhile, Everton didn't pose much of a threat to MU's defense, with Lukaku appearing very isolated.
The turning point of the match came in the 89th minute when Fellaini fouled an Everton player inside the penalty area. The referee immediately awarded a penalty to the home team. Leighton Baines converted the penalty to equalize for Everton.
In the remaining minutes, despite their best efforts, the visiting team could not overcome the solid blue wall and had to settle for a draw at Goodison Park.
