Cadres and Party members are fulfilling their role as role models.
In recent years, the model of intercropping citrus trees with tea has become a high-income economic direction in Con Cuong. However, few people know that Bong Khe was one of the first localities to initiate this model.
Beside a lush green tea garden spanning over 5,500 square meters.2Currently intercropping 200 grapefruit trees of various types, Ms. Dinh Thi Dao - Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front of Bong Khe commune - said that her family has been involved with tea cultivation since 1995. However, it hadn't been very effective. Until 2015, when technical experts shared the benefits of intercropping grapefruit trees in tea gardens, she boldly discussed it with her son, a student at the University of Agriculture, to contact the Plant Breeding Center of the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture to select the best grapefruit varieties for cultivation.

At the time, many people were hesitant about this decision. But then, with practical knowledge and a bold spirit in applying advancements in science and technology, she was determined to go ahead with it. In reality, intercropping pomelo and tea has many advantages, reducing fertilizer and irrigation costs. In addition, the pomelo trees provide moisture, improve soil structure, and reduce pests and diseases, which helps the tea plants thrive. As a result, this model yields over 3 tons of fresh tea leaves and over 20 tons of pomelo annually. After deducting expenses, it brings in a profit of around 100 million VND for the family.
Following her own success as a front-line official, Ms. Dinh Thi Dao has actively promoted and spread this economic model to many people in the region. Along with that, she has actively researched new livestock farming techniques to support local people in building household economic models.
For example, the family of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan (born in 1982) started as a poor household. However, with the encouragement, support, and guidance from Ms. Dao and the commune's Fatherland Front, from capital to technical assistance, he has gradually built a successful integrated livestock and crop farming model. In recent years, this model has brought in considerable income, becoming a successful example of effective community mobilization in the locality. In addition to this model, the entire Bong Khe commune has had dozens of other effective community mobilization models recognized by the district in recent times.
As for Mon Son commune, the movement for skillful mass mobilization has been implemented very actively and effectively in recent years. Behind that success, many exemplary individuals have affirmed their core role in advising the Party committee on leadership and direction of mass mobilization work within the political system, and are shining examples in the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement.
A prime example is Mr. Ha Van Canh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of Tan Son Village. In his role as village head, he has set a leading example in economic development, such as restoring and developing rattan and bamboo weaving, tending forest gardens, raising livestock, digging ponds for fish farming, and cultivating high-yield crops like cucumbers, corn, and hybrid rice varieties. He readily provides hands-on guidance to the villagers in reclaiming barren land and developing many effective economic models.
As a result, over the past five years, the poverty rate in Tan Son village has decreased from over 95% to 20%. Economic models aimed at poverty reduction have been sustainably maintained, ensuring political and border security.

Recognizing the importance of promoting the exemplary role of cadres and Party members in mass mobilization work, Comrade Vi Van Bach - Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of Con Cuong District Party Committee - shared that, in reality, many cadres and Party members have consistently upheld the principle of matching words with actions, directly building many successful models to create a positive ripple effect and inspire people to participate.
As a result, in the field of economic development, the "Effective Mass Mobilization" emulation movement continued to be promoted; 81 models were registered for development (including 34 collective models and 47 individual models). Many "Effective Mass Mobilization" models that have initially proven effective continue to be maintained and developed, contributing to changing the face of rural areas and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
Mass mobilization is linked to the economic development trends in the new situation.
Following the directive of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Van Thong, at the 2022 task deployment conference of the Steering Committee for the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement, which stated: "When launching and developing models, they must meet the demands of real-life situations; the models must closely adhere to political tasks, especially the key tasks of each locality, agency, and unit," atCon CuongThe successful models of mass mobilization have fundamentally done this well.

This is most clearly demonstrated by the implementation of effective public mobilization models linked to the goal of building Con Cuong into an ecological urban area. In particular, the public mobilization movement associated with the development of community tourism and experiential tourism in Con Cuong has developed quite vigorously in recent years, becoming an unmissable highlight for tourists visiting this region.
This achievement is the result of the concerted efforts of Party committees, government agencies, and political and social organizations in organizing and mobilizing people to participate in training programs, tours, and experience-sharing sessions on tourism development. Alongside this, they directly built effective models of grassroots mobilization to guide and assist people in linking together to create sources of clean food and to serve cultural and artistic activities in community-based tourism villages.
In particular, the collaboration with local people has led to the development of "model new rural residential areas" and "model villages and communes" right in their villages to attract tourists. As a result, the awareness and skills of the people in tourism development have gradually improved, and income from this direction has become increasingly sustainable.
It is estimated that by the end of 2022, community-based tourism in Con Cuong had welcomed over 49,000 visitors, generating a total revenue of over 7 billion VND. Looking back at the implementation of the effective mass mobilization movement in the locality, Comrade Pham Trong Binh, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Con Cuong District Party Committee, shared that with many good and creative approaches from the grassroots level, the effectiveness of the movement has been widely affirmed in various aspects.

In particular, in the economic sector, all levels and branches of the political system focus on the grassroots, mobilizing the people to participate in implementing economic development tasks, promoting their role as key players in emulating excellent production and business practices, developing the economy, reducing poverty, and striving for legitimate wealth. This significantly contributes to socio-economic development, leading the district to comprehensive and sustainable development.
