(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 5th (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year of the Tiger), at the temple of Emperor Quang Trung (Vinh City), a delegation of Vinh City leaders, led by Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the Vinh City People's Council, offered flowers and incense to commemorate Emperor Quang Trung on the 233rd anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory.

National hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue was the commander of the Tay Son rebels who achieved resounding victories such as: defeating 50,000 Siamese troops at Rach Gam - Xoai Mut, and defeating 290,000 invading Qing troops… The pinnacle was on the 5th day of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Rooster 1789, 233 years ago, when the Tay Son rebels, under the command of Emperor Quang Trung, attacked Thang Long, achieving the victory at Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da, forcing the entire Manchu army to flee back to their country.
At the ceremony, leaders of Vinh city, agencies, departments, and a large number of people offered incense and flowers to commemorate Emperor Quang Trung, and together recalled the glorious victories of the national hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue and the Tay Son army.
