A Mazda pickup truck caught fire while in transit on National Highway 1A.
(Baonghean.vn) - A Mazda car traveling on National Highway 1A suddenly caught fire and burst into flames. The driver managed to escape and control the fire.
At approximately 11:30 AM on January 9th, a Mazda pickup truck with license plate 37C – 259..., driven by a middle-aged man, was traveling in the North-South direction when it suddenly caught fire and burst into flames in Hamlet 13, Nghi Lien Commune (Vinh City, Nghe An Province).

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle was traveling normally when, at kilometer 452, about 9km from Vinh city, black smoke suddenly began rising from the front of the car.
The driver pulled the car over to the right, and as soon as he opened the hood, flames erupted. Immediately, the driver and residents living near National Highway 1A used water from the roadside and fire extinguishers to put out the fire. The fire lasted for about 10 minutes, and some of the engine components inside the car have been charred black.

Fortunately, the car fire did not cause any injuries. The initial cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical short circuit.
National Highway 1A experienced a partial traffic jam for about 20 minutes.
