The Party and the people in the new era of the nation.

Throughout thousands of years of nation-building and defense, the awareness that "the people are the foundation" has been formed and developed. However, it was only after the founding of the Party (February 3, 1930) that our Party and beloved President Ho Chi Minh deeply appreciated the immense role of the people, consistently focusing on building and strengthening the close relationship between the Party and the people. He said: "The nation takes the people as its foundation"; "Our country is a democratic country, the highest position belongs to the people, because the people are the masters"; and Uncle Ho affirmed: "In the sky, there is nothing more precious than the people. In the world, there is nothing stronger than the united force of the people." This is an immortal thought of President Ho Chi Minh about the people and his belief in the strength of the people.

The relationship between the Party and the people is formed and developed due to the objective demands of the revolutionary cause. This is a very special relationship: the Party is both the leader and the ruler, and the servant of the people, while the people, who voluntarily agree with the Party's leadership, are the masters of the country. The strength of the Party lies in the close bond between the Party and the people.

Building on the nation's traditions, absorbing the theories of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, the Communist Party of Vietnam has put forward the extremely correct viewpoint: "Revolution is the undertaking of the people, by the people, and for the people. The people are the masters, the people are in control." It is precisely because of this profound understanding of this viewpoint that our Party has led our people to defeat all invading enemies and achieve many great and historically significant accomplishments over the past 95 years.

Entering a new spring, a new era, an era of the Vietnamese nation's resurgence; an era developed on the basis of the achievements of advanced science and technology of the fourth industrial revolution, aiming to develop a modern, integrated socialist-oriented market economy for the goal of "a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization"; an era that continues to consistently implement the viewpoint "the people are the foundation," building national unity, developing an advanced culture rich in national identity, building an expanded diplomatic system, a modern national defense and security system, and building a streamlined, unified, synchronized, effective, and efficient political system.

In 2025, our Party and people will solemnly celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), looking towards important milestones: 100 years since the founding of the Party (2030), 100 years since the founding of the nation (2045). Our Party will maximize all resources, lead the people to overcome difficulties and challenges, and continue to achieve many great accomplishments in the future.

Entering a new era, it is essential for each of us to deeply engrave in our hearts the teachings of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh: “To win the people's love and loyalty, we must do everything that benefits them and avoid everything that harms them”; “If we win the people's hearts, we fear nothing”; “Doing what the people will do will surely lead to success. Doing what goes against the people's will will surely lead to failure”; “The Party needs to have a very good plan to develop the economy and culture, in order to continuously improve the people's lives.” Inheriting the lessons of our ancestors, President Ho Chi Minh was a model example of understanding and prioritizing the use of talent. He affirmed, “Cadres are the foundation of all work” and reminded us: “A living example is worth more than a hundred propaganda speeches.”

Implementing President Ho Chi Minh's teachings well, especially valuing talent and employing truly virtuous and capable cadres, is the key to unleashing the source of strength—the strength of the people's will and the Party's ideology, the strength of the heroic people, the strength distilled from fervent patriotism and a spirit of unity and solidarity—to enable our country to confidently bước into a new era and beautiful new springs.
