(Baonghean.vn) - Hired to transport nearly 100kg of fireworks to Vinh City for 10 million VND, Tuan invited Hoa to join him, but they were arrested by the police.

On January 3rd, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Thanh Chuong District Police announced the successful conclusion of Case 219P, arresting two suspects, Hoang Van Tuan (born in 1974), residing in Hamlet 2, Tao Son Commune (Anh Son District), and Le Thi Hoa (born in 1981), residing in Suon Hamlet, Hanh Lam Industrial Zone, Thanh Duc Commune (Thanh Chuong District), for the crime of transporting prohibited goods, seizing nearly 100 kg of fireworks.

At approximately 7:30 PM on January 2nd, on the N5 road in Thai Son commune (Do Luong district), the Special Investigation Team (Thanh Chuong District Police) coordinated with Traffic Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police to stop and inspect a Mazda CX5 car with license plate 37A-405.10.

Authorities coordinated their efforts, tightened the cordon, and successfully apprehended two suspects, Hoang Van Tuan and Le Thi Hoa. The seized evidence included a batch of 36 firecrackers, weighing nearly 100 kg in total.

At the police station, the two suspects confessed that because they had previously traded in Laos, they knew some notorious individuals. Through a phone call, a Laotian man (whose identity and address are unknown) hired Tuan to transport the fireworks from Anh Son district to Vinh City.

If the operation was successful, Tuan would be paid 10 million dong. Tuan accepted the offer and invited Le Thi Hoa (because Hoa had a car) to help transport the fireworks.

The investigation into this case is currently ongoing and being expanded.
