Famous singer Ngoc Son is accused of being difficult by his adopted son Duy Cuong.

Ngoc Son was the most anticipated guest at his adopted son Duy Cuong's "Motherly Love" live show in Hanoi on September 22nd. Together, they performed a cover of "My Idol," a song that caused a sensation during the Bolero Idol final. Ngoc Son composed the song specifically for his adopted son.

Duy Cuong revealed that his adoptive father had a significant influence on his singing career. He candidly stated that his father was very strict, making him learn every single word, and that for some songs, he had to practice each word over and over again; if he couldn't do it, it was considered a failure.

The mother of the Bolero Idol winner was also present at the live show and burst into tears upon witnessing the overwhelming affection her son received from the audience. Duy Cuong grew up in a poor family, often scavenging for potatoes to eat. When he was in first grade, his father had an accident and had to have one leg amputated, placing the entire financial burden on his mother. Duy Cuong's "Motherly Love" live show is a gift he gave to his mother.

Duy Cuong calls artist Giao Linh "mother." She is the one who taught the male singer a great deal about his profession. During the concert, the two sweetly sang the song "Mother's Love" as a duet.

Duy Cuong is currently a lecturer at the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is determined to continue pursuing his teaching career and only accepts singing gigs when he has free time. On the evening of September 22nd, he was very happy because his first live show in his career sold out several days in advance, even though VIP tickets cost 5 million VND.

The auditorium of the Hanoi Friendship Cultural Palace was packed. The audience had all admired Duy Cuong's singing voice since the Bolero Idol competition.
