On the afternoon of June 29, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center said that under the direction of the National Committee for Natural Disaster Response and Search and Rescue, the Ministry of Transport, and the Vietnam Maritime Administration, the Center had dispatched ship SAR 411 to command the scene, coordinating with ships SAR 273, HQ 636, Pacific 01, and Tan Cang Pioneer to search for 9 missing Nghe An-born crew members of ship NA-95899-TS.

The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center requested the China Search and Rescue Center to mobilize the Nanhaijiu 118 rescue ship and 01 aircraft to participate in the search under the on-site command of the SAR 411 ship according to the search plan created using SAROPs software.
On the morning of June 29, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong was present at the Forward Command Center - Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region I (Hai Phong) to direct the search and rescue work for 9 missing sailors from Nghe An.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Cong highly appreciated the spirit of public service performance of the maritime forces participating in the search and rescue, who closely coordinated with the army, navy, border guards, ship owners, fishermen, local authorities and search and rescue forces of China.
The Deputy Minister of Transport requested: The forces at the scene urgently deploy search and rescue measures. The forces must determine to race against time to deploy the search. In addition to continuing to deploy the search on the water surface using SAROPs software, the forces need to immediately deploy the underwater search plan using dredges, divers, etc. In addition to the modern means and equipment of the functional forces, it is necessary to mobilize more fishermen to participate, using manual equipment to search for the lives of the missing crew members. For the rescued crew members, continue to carry out medical care measures so that they can recover soon. Along with that, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Cong requested the functional agencies to coordinate with local authorities to encourage and stabilize the spirit of the families of the crew members in distress in the locality.

As reported, at noon on June 28 at position 19 degrees 32.334' N 107 degrees 42.263' E (about 32 nautical miles south of Bach Long Vy island), the Pacific 01 ship was traveling from Binh Thuan to Cam Pha (Quang Ninh) when it suddenly collided with the fishing boat of Mr. Ho Ba Lam (born in 1981) - owner of fishing boat NA-95899-TS in Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, with 19 crew members on board. The strong collision caused the fishing boat of Quynh Luu fishermen to capsize, the boat floating on the sea surface. After that, the Pacific 01 ship picked up 9 crew members, 10 crew members were missing. By this morning (June 29), the rescue team had found the body of 1 fisherman and was continuing to search for the 9 missing fishermen.
The bodies of the crew members are currently being kept on board SAR 411, nine crew members are still missing.
Search and rescue forces at the scene are still speeding up the search for the 9 missing crew members of the NA 95899 TS ship according to the search area established under the on-site command of SAR 411, continuing to coordinate with the Chinese rescue force to deploy the search for the missing crew members.
