Leading the team is national icon David Alaba – the Real Madrid defender and widely regarded as the greatest player in modern Austrian football history. Alaba's presence is a major asset for "Das Team" at the biggest tournament on the planet.
In addition, the list also includes other experienced players such as Marko Arnautovic, Michael Gregoritsch, and Marcel Sabitzer. This veteran squad will be a crucial foundation for Coach Rangnick in his journey to conquer the tournament in North America.
One of the most notable additions to the list is the inclusion of two midfielders who changed their nationality in March of this year - Carney Chukwuemeka and Paul Wanner.
Carney Chukwuemeka previously played for England's youth teams but decided to switch to Austria. Paul Wanner followed a similar path, leaving Germany's youth teams to join "Das Team".
