Germany's squad list for the 2026 World Cup.
The German national team has just announced its full 26-player squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, with the highlight being the first-time inclusion of the talented Florian Wirtz.
After being eliminated in the group stage of two consecutive World Cups, Germany aims to advance beyond this round for the first time since their 2014 victory.
After missing the 2022 World Cup due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, Florian Wirtz will make his long-awaited World Cup debut. The Liverpool forward has scored and assisted more than 10 goals for his national team – fans are eagerly awaiting to see how he will shine on the biggest stage in world football.
Supporting Wirtz in attack is Nick Woltemade. The 1.98m tall striker only made his national team debut last June, but has quickly become a complete modern center forward in German football.
Captain Joshua Kimmich continues to be a key player with over 100 caps for the national team, capable of playing well in both midfield and right-back positions. Kimmich's versatility is a crucial foundation for the German national team's playing style.
Regarding rising young talents, Lennart Karl shone in his first season with the Bayern Munich first team. At 18, this attacking midfielder has made a breakthrough at the right time and will be an exciting addition to the German squad for the 2026 World Cup.
