Mexico's squad list for the 2026 World Cup.
Mexico has just announced its 55-player squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will serve as the basis for coach Javier Aguirre to select the final 26 players.
Luck has been on Mexico's side in both World Cups they have hosted. As they co-host the FIFA World Cup 2026, the El Tri team hopes this third attempt will bring them unprecedented success.
After being eliminated in the quarter-finals twice in the World Cups held on home soil in 1970 and 1986, Mexico enters this year's global football tournament hoping to replicate the success they achieved at the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025.
Placed in Group A, Mexico will begin the tournament with a match against South Africa – a repeat of the opening match of the 2010 World Cup – before facing South Korea and Czechia in succession.

Here is the official list of 55 players selected by coach Javier Aguirre.
