'Ghost Lamp' director is upset: I am being attacked and defamed continuously

The director of the movie "Ghost Lamp" spoke out indignantly when the movie was caught up in plagiarism rumors, claiming that his work became a victim of a dirty media war.

The young filmmaker affirmed:"From the beginning, 'Den Am Hon' did not want to compete with anyone. The film was made with passion and enthusiasm to bring the audience pride in how wonderful Vietnamese culture and landscapes are on film and can be completely exported abroad."

Director Hoang Nam said that theGhost lightsReleased at a time when the Tet film market was in a fierce race, the film was unintentionally caught in the crosshairs of unhealthy media wars.

“I have no seeding ability, no dirty media, I come to cinema with my heart; I am happy to be accepted by the audience and delighted to be praised by leading film experts. Currently, I am being attacked and defamed by incorrect and objective things such as plagiarism…”, he wrote.

Director Hoang Nam emphasized the role of impartiality and the power of viewers in "deciding the fate of the country's cinema". He raised the question:"In the future, will Vietnamese cinema be a race of quality or a race of media?"

The director affirmed that the movie "Ghost Lights" does not compete with anyone.

He expressed concern that if the audience is "led by the media" and "lacks opinions and personal judgment", genuine filmmakers will be "scared" and "the country's culture will be manipulated", leading to Vietnamese cinema having difficulty "reaching the big sea" like other developed cinemas.
