(Baonghean) - Currently, Nghe An Water Supply Company Limited manages 13 water treatment plants and water supply systems in the province with a total capacity of 96,000 m3/day, serving 100,300 customers, many of whom are large production and business units. Thanks to promptly meeting the demand for clean water, in the first four months of 2016, the company supplied more than 6 million m3 of clean water to customers in the province.

In Vinh City, through ADB loans, ODA, and corporate capital, two modern and high-capacity water treatment plants have been upgraded. The Hung Vinh water treatment plant continues to operate at its maximum capacity of 60,000 m3/day, producing and supplying water 24/7 to serve the people of Vinh City; the Cau Bach water treatment plant, with a capacity of 20,000 m3/day, actively supports the supply of clean water to Vinh City and surrounding areas.

In addition, 13 water supply stations in the districts of Thanh Chuong, Do Luong, Tan Ky, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, etc., have been maintained, repaired, and upgraded to meet the increasing demand for clean water from customers.

Following the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, Nghe An Water Supply Company has effectively and promptly coordinated with Song Lam Water Supply Joint Stock Company to use raw water from the Lam River to supply the Hung Vinh and Cau Bach water treatment plants of Nghe An Water Supply Company. With a stable water supply during peak periods such as Tet and summer, there will be no water shortage.

According to a decision by the People's Committee of Nghe An province, the Nghe An Water Supply Company has taken over the Hung Nguyen Clean Water Supply Center for management and investment in renovation, capacity upgrades, and network expansion to ensure continuous and quality water supply for the people of Hung Nguyen town and some neighboring areas, which has been highly appreciated by the people and the district government.

Following the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the company continues to expand its water supply network to key and important areas according to the Provincial People's Committee's plan, promptly meeting the needs of the province's economic and urban development.

Specifically, the company has invested in a water supply pipeline for Masan's manufacturing plant cluster in the Southeast Economic Zone, supplying approximately 30,000 m3 per month to Cua Lo town; invested in a D300 pipeline along Dang Thai Mai street to draw water from the Cau Bach Water Treatment Plant to supply the northeastern area of ​​Vinh City; and constructed a D200 pipeline along Pham Hong Thai street to supply clean water to the southwestern area of ​​the city. Initial planning and strategies have been developed to ensure sufficient clean water supply for the VSIP Nghe An Industrial and Service Complex in the coming years.

In Vinh City and its surrounding areas, the company invested in renovating two sedimentation tanks at the Cau Bach Water Treatment Plant, contributing to increasing the plant's capacity by 150%. The company continues to renovate the dilapidated service pipeline network, gradually demarcating renovation areas by block/ward and prioritizing central city areas with the oldest networks. The overall design of the pipeline network system, based on a zoning and network separation model for Vinh City and its surrounding areas, has now been completed.

Throughout its production and business operations, the company has consistently innovated its processes, achieving high efficiency. In particular, it has applied information technology to management, developing and operating software such as: Customer Management, Installation and Repair Management, Electronic Office, and Network Management and Monitoring (SCADA)... Alongside this, innovations in meter reading and water bill collection have yielded positive results.

The water bill collection process has been shortened to 30 days, and the policy of encouraging and rewarding bill collectors who complete their work early, preventing outstanding debts and delays in payment, continues to be maintained.

One of the company's significant achievements in recent times is the successful completion of its equitization process. At the initial public offering (IPO), all 5.9 million shares were sold at the highest price of 28,000 VND per share, with an average successful bid price of 18,920 VND per share. The fact that Nghe An Water Supply Company's shares were sold out at a relatively high price compared to the average share prices of similar companies nationwide demonstrates the company's strong position and reputation, which are highly valued by investors.
