Dat Bike Era E1 and E2: Vietnamese electric motorcycles with a 50-liter storage compartment and fast charging technology.
Dat Bike has just launched the Era electric scooter series with two versions, E1 and E2, notable for its 200 km range battery, the largest storage compartment in its segment at 50 liters, and the ability to fast charge in 15 minutes.
Vietnamese electric motorcycle manufacturer Dat Bike has officially introduced the all-new Era model, aimed at meeting the daily commuting needs of urban areas. Following the success of the Weaver and Quantum lines, the Dat Bike Era focuses on practicality with an extra-large luggage compartment and an optimized battery system for an optimal user experience.

Side Motor engine and flexible handling
The biggest difference on the Dat Bike Era is its side-mounted motor system. Compared to the in-hub type mounted on the rear wheel, the side motor offers optimal power transmission, better water resistance, and easier maintenance. This motor boasts a power output of 5 kW, allowing the bike to accelerate from 0–40 km/h in 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 82 km/h.
The rider can choose from four operating modes via the MODE/SEAT button on the handlebars:
- Parking mode (P):Safety stop mode, disables the throttle.
- Driving mode (D):Energy efficient, suitable for city driving.
- S (Super) mode:Optimize power for acceleration or overtaking when needed.
- Reverse (R) mode:The reverse mode assists in maneuvering the vehicle in tight spaces.

Driver assistance technology and safety features
The Dat Bike Era is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster, integrated smartphone connectivity, and GPS navigation. Notably, it boasts many features commonly found in cars, such as Cruise Control to maintain a stable speed and Hill Assist. In addition, the engine braking system regenerates battery power whenever the throttle is released, contributing to an extended riding range.

200 km battery range and integrated charging solution.
Both versions utilize a 4.3 kWh lithium battery pack, providing a range of up to 200 km on a single full charge. A convenient feature of the Era is the integrated charger located in the small front compartment, allowing users to plug in the charger directly at any power outlet without needing to carry a separate, bulky device.
The difference between the two versions lies in the charging technology. While the Era E2 only supports standard charging (3 hours and 30 minutes), the higher-end Era E1 is equipped with Boost charging mode. This mode only requires 15 minutes of charging to travel an additional 30 km, addressing concerns about energy in emergency situations.

Practical design with a 50-liter trunk.
The Dat Bike Era has overall dimensions of 1,860 x 680 x 1,115 mm and weighs 112 kg, making it suitable for the physique of Vietnamese people. The flat footrest provides a comfortable riding position. The most impressive feature is the 50-liter storage compartment, surpassing the 37 liters of the Honda LEAD, allowing it to simultaneously hold multiple helmets and personal belongings.
