The milestone of 12 National Congresses of the Party
Over its more than 90 years since its founding, the Communist Party of Vietnam has held 12 congresses. The tasks of each congress are to evaluate the results of implementing the resolutions of the previous term; to decide on the Party's guidelines and policies for the next term; and to carry out personnel work.

The 15th Central Committee Conference achieved a high degree of consensus on fundamental issues, and in particular, approved the introduction, supplementation, and nomination of "special" personnel to participate in the 13th term, as well as the list of candidates for key leadership positions in the Party and State for the 13th term.
