Heartbroken, mentally ill son stabs his own father to death in the night.

(Baonghean.vn) - The incident occurred at approximately 11 PM on May 20th, in Hamlet 11, Nghi Xa Commune, Nghi Loc District (Nghe An Province).

On the morning of May 21st, the Nghi Loc District Police announced that a tragic murder had occurred within a family in the area.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.

At approximately 11 PM, Hoang Van Nhat (born in 1989, residing in Hamlet 11, Nghi Xa Commune, Nghi Loc District) used a knife to stab and kill his own father, Hoang Van Chau (born in 1959, also residing in Hamlet 11, Nghi Xa Commune). As a result, Mr. Chau died.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Nghi Loc District Police arrived to secure the scene and apprehend the suspect. Simultaneously, they coordinated with the PC45 and PC54 departments (Provincial Police), the Provincial People's Procuracy, and the Nghi Loc District People's Procuracy to conduct a scene investigation and autopsy.

The knife found at the scene is suspected to be the murder weapon.

Just one hour later, the suspect was apprehended while hiding in the Nam Cam Industrial Zone. The suspect has now been taken to the Nghi Loc District Police headquarters for investigation.

It is known that Nhat has a history of mental illness. His family had previously taken him for treatment. However, out of love for his son, Mr. Chau brought him home.

The incident is currently under further investigation by the authorities.
