Knowing how to do business from a young age, drinking alcohol but not smoking, being well-liked at school, or having a good appearance can help you earn more than others.

1. Earn money from a young age.

One common trait among the world's wealthy is that they started making money quite early. Billionaire investor Mark Cuban was selling garbage bags door-to-door at age 12. Warren Buffett sold chewing gum to his neighbors when he was just 6. And Richard Branson started raising and selling parrots at age 11.

If you had an entrepreneurial spirit when you were young, the chances of you making a lot of money when you grow up are very high.

2. Don't be complacent.

Were you the kind of person who wasn't satisfied with a 9 in school? If so, you have the same mindset as the world's millionaires. They don't just want to earn $1 million, they want to earn $10 million.

3. Good appearance

This might sound unfair. But numerous studies have shown that people with attractive appearances are more appealing to interviewers and are more likely to sell more products. According to research by Professor Daniel Hamermesh at the University of Texas, on average, these people earn 3-4% more than those who are not considered attractive.

4. Having a sense of urgency.

Millionaires never wait for the right time to start a business. They understand that there's no better time than now. Sitting down and waiting is the easiest way to destroy your dreams.

5. Focus on making money rather than saving it.

Many wealthy people live frugally. But the point is, despite being extremely thrifty and spending wisely, they always remember that the best way to make money is to invest.

6. Being well-liked at school.

A study by a team of professors from the University of Chicago, Essex, and the Institute for Employment Research (IER) found that "after 40 years, those who were most well-liked in high school earned 10% more than the rest." In other words, being well-liked helped them have more friends and better opportunities to earn money.

7. Always work with a goal in mind.

When it comes to the future, wealthy people always have long-term goals and clear needs. They didn't just randomly make millions of dollars. If it's not something you're striving for, you'll never achieve it.

8. No divorce.

A study by Ohio University showed that divorce reduces a person's assets by one-third compared to being single. Meanwhile, marriage nearly doubles assets.

9. You can drink alcohol, but you cannot smoke.

A study has shown that people who know how to drink earn significantly more than the average person. This is because it helps them build better relationships. Jin Britt, author of "Do This. Get Rich," says: "People who never drink, while not necessarily bad, tend to be quite conservative. And this puts them out of social circles."

However, wealthy people usually don't smoke. These people waste too much money on cigarettes. And that money should be invested instead.

10. Stay informed.

The world's most successful people always start their mornings by staying informed. Warren Buffett and Bill Gates read newspapers like the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, and The Financial Times. This allows them to gain more insight into current events and make more informed investment decisions.

11. Always strive to improve yourself.

A college degree can make a difference in how much money you earn. But it can't determine whether you'll be rich or not.

Bill Gates is one of the best examples of someone who dropped out of school. But this doesn't mean he and other wealthy individuals, like Mark Zuckerberg or Jeff Bezos, stop acquiring knowledge. They constantly improve themselves by reading books and articles and learning new skills.
