At the beginning of the year, I went to the temple to see the world's largest jade Buddha statue.
(Baonghean.vn) - Hundreds of Buddhists from all over the country attended the opening ceremony of the World Peace Jade Buddha Exhibition and also participated in welcoming the new year at Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Anh commune, Nam Dan district).
On the evening of January 27th (New Year's Eve), hundreds of monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers from temples throughout the province gathered at Dai Tue Temple in Nam Anh commune, Nam Dan district, to attend the official opening ceremony of the World Peace Jade Buddha Exhibition and a prayer ceremony for world peace and national prosperity. During the opening night, Buddhist followers also participated in activities to welcome the new year and received blessings for the spring season.

Earlier, on the afternoon of January 21st (December 24th in the lunar calendar), the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Nghe An province organized a ceremony to welcome the World Peace Jade Buddha from Diec Pagoda (Vinh City) to Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Dan) with the participation of thousands of people.

The jade Buddha statue will be on display from now until February 11th (the 15th day of the first lunar month). Along with the jade Buddha statue exhibition, many other activities will also be held at the temple, such as: seminars; cultural performances; photo exhibitions; a calligraphy ceremony to pray for wisdom; and a ritual offering of 500kg of sticky rice cakes.
