Investing 14 billion VND to repair 50-year-old dam

(Baonghean.vn) - Khe Lang Dam in Nghi Kieu Commune (Nghi Loc) was built 50 years ago and has seriously degraded. Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is the investor in the upgrading project with a total investment of 14 billion VND.

The contractor is constructing the project.

Khe Lang Dam is a large dam with a capacity of over 3 million cubic meters of water, providing irrigation for many cultivated areas in Nghi Kieu commune.

The dam was built 50 years ago and is now seriously degraded. Faced with this situation, Nghe An Department of Agriculture has set up a project to invest 14 billion VND to upgrade Khe Lang dam.

The project includes the following items: upgrading the dam body, rebuilding the water culvert, building a new operating house, building a concrete service road from hamlet 13b to the dam body, upgrading Tran bridge, and building a concrete road from hamlet 17 to Tran bridge.

Spillway construction machinery.

Currently, the contractor is mobilizing many human resources, vehicles, and machines to carry out construction at Tran bridge point and is constructing the concrete road from hamlet 17 to Tran bridge. The construction unit is a joint venture between An Vinh Construction Joint Stock Company and Thai Son Trading Joint Stock Company.

The project was constructed in 11 months starting from October 16, 2015.
