14 billion VND invested in repairing 50-year-old dam.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Khe Lang dam in Nghi Kieu commune (Nghi Loc district), built 50 years ago, has seriously deteriorated. Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is the investor of an upgrade project with a total investment of 14 billion VND.

Khe Lang Dam is a large dam with a capacity of over 3 million cubic meters of water, providing irrigation for many cultivated areas in Nghi Kieu commune.
The dam, built 50 years ago, is now severely degraded. In response to this situation, the Nghe An Department of Agriculture has launched a project to invest 14 billion VND in upgrading the Khe Lang dam.
The project includes the following items: upgrading the dam body, rebuilding the water conduit, constructing a new control building, building a concrete service road from Hamlet 13b to the dam body, upgrading the spillway bridge, and building a concrete road from Hamlet 17 to the spillway bridge.

Currently, the contractor is mobilizing a large workforce, vehicles, and machinery to carry out construction at the spillway bridge and is constructing the concrete road from Hamlet 17 to the spillway bridge. The construction unit is a joint venture between An Vinh Construction JSC and Thai Son Trading JSC.
The construction project was completed in 11 months, starting on October 16, 2015.
