Strengthening coordination in organizing cultural, sports, and tourism activities in 2026.
On the morning of March 11th, Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, held a meeting to discuss the coordinated implementation of cultural, sports and tourism activities in 2026.
Attending the meeting were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Journalist Tran Minh Ngoc – Director of Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association; Tran Thi My Hanh – Director of the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Also present were members of the Board of Directors and representatives of specialized departments and divisions of both units.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the results of the coordination between the two units in 2025. Accordingly, Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An have maintained close coordination in the work of disseminating and promoting the province's cultural, sports, and tourism activities, contributing to spreading the image of Nghe An as rich in cultural identity and with great development potential.

Throughout the year, many major provincial events were widely publicized through various media channels such as print newspapers, online newspapers, radio, and television. Highlights included activities within the framework of the Cua Lo Tourism Festival and the Lang Sen Festival; major art programs and cultural events of the province; activities promoting and honoring the Nghe Tinh folk songs – a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity; and many unique cultural events in mountainous and highland areas.

In addition, emphasis has been placed on promoting high-performance sports and the mass sports movement. Many exchange programs and events honoring outstanding athletes and coaches of Nghe An sports have been implemented, contributing to encouraging the sports training movement among the people.

Through specialized websites, sections, and thematic programs, the two units also collaborate to introduce many unique cultural values of Nghe An province, promote destinations, traditional festivals, and grassroots cultural life, contributing to improving the effectiveness of communication and tourism promotion in the province.

Besides the achievements, the two units also frankly acknowledged that some areas of cooperation have not been implemented synchronously, including some programs that could not be carried out due to limited resources; coordination in propaganda in some areas such as tourism, preservation and promotion of folk songs and ballads lacks a long-term plan and needs continued attention in the future.
Many unique cultural and sporting events and programs will take place in 2026.
Based on the results achieved, the delegates focused their discussions and agreed on several key areas of cooperation for 2026.

In the field of sports, the two units have agreed to jointly organize the 27th Nghe An Newspaper and Radio & Television Cup Youth and Children's Football Tournament, scheduled to take place in June 2026, continuing to maintain the scale, quality, and tradition of the tournament after 26 years of organization.

In addition, there are plans to coordinate the organization of the Nghe An Television Cup Pickleball Tournament 2026, tentatively scheduled from April 17-19; and to coordinate the organization of the Nghe An Sports Recognition Event and the Nghe An Golden Ball Award.

In the field of culture and arts, the two units plan to jointly organize the "Search for Talents in Ví and Giặm Folk Songs" competition, while also promoting strong communication about preserving and promoting the value of Nghệ Tĩnh Ví and Giặm folk song heritage.

In addition, the parties also agreed to strengthen coordination in communication and promotion of typical cultural, sports, and tourism events of the province in 2026 such asCua Lo Tourism Festival, the Lotus Village Festival and many major art programs; at the same time, promoting tourism communication to create widespread awareness; publicizing activities in response to important national and provincial holidays.

At the meeting, the parties also proposed studying the coordinated organization of several events in a socialized format, such as music concerts featuring many famous singers from Nghe An province and a community running race during the off-season for tourism, in order to create more attractive cultural and sports products for locals and tourists.
Leaders of the two units emphasized that strengthening coordination between the press and the culture, sports, and tourism sectors will contribute to promoting the image of Nghe An, spreading the unique cultural values of the homeland, and simultaneously promoting tourism development and improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people. The coordination contents will continue to be refined into a specific plan, clearly assigning responsibilities to each unit for effective implementation in 2026.
