Accelerating recovery and development of Vietnam tourism
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 15, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held an online conference to disseminate new documents to accelerate the recovery and development of Vietnam's tourism effectively and sustainably.
The conference was held online, connecting with 61 points of provinces and cities across the country.
The central bridge was chaired by comrades: Doan Van Viet - Deputy Minister of Culture - Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of Vietnam National Tourism Administration; Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of Vietnam National Tourism Administration.
Also attending were leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and leaders of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration.
At Nghe An bridge, comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Tourism co-chaired.
Also attending were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and units; representatives of a number of businesses in the province.

At the conference, comrade Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism reported on the content of solutions to recover and accelerate tourism development effectively and sustainably in the spirit of Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP and Vietnam Tourism Marketing Strategy to 2030.
In particular, focusing on concretizing the tasks assigned by the Government to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP on the main tasks and solutions to accelerate recovery and accelerate effective and sustainable tourism development. From there, creating high consensus and unanimity in the awareness and actions of the entire tourism industry, related industries, localities, businesses and people for tourism to develop in a focused and key manner.

The key tasks identified are to promote the restructuring of the tourism industry towards quality, modernity and sustainability; continue to facilitate the attraction of international visitors; increase investment attraction for tourism development; develop communication products, tourism promotion; support tourism businesses; improve the quality of human resources and accelerate the implementation of digital transformation tasks...
At the conference, delegates also heard reports on a number of night tourism product models. The general goal is to promote the advantages of night services in Vietnam to be diverse, unique, sustainable, of high quality and added value. Affirm the brand and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam's tourist destinations, increase tourist attraction, increase spending and extend the length of stay of tourists.

Also at the conference, delegates discussed solutions to effectively implement Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP, Vietnam Tourism Marketing Strategy and night tourism product development model.
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, requested localities to continue to innovate their thinking on tourism development; develop tourism comprehensively and extensively, establish the Vietnamese tourism brand; promptly develop and deploy a plan to implement Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP...
Since the beginning of 2023, Nghe An has implemented many activities to restore and develop tourism, especially tourism promotion and advertising. The opening of the 2023 tourism season is to attend the VITM Hanoi International Tourism Fair to introduce and promote tourism products in the province, and invite travel agencies to cooperate in bringing and welcoming guests.
In order to expand cooperation and develop tourism, Nghe An province organized a Famtrip delegation to survey tourist routes and destinations and work in Gwangju city, Korea.
In particular, the outstanding results of Nghe An Tourism industry have advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue the Decision approving the "Nghe An Tourism Development Strategy to 2030, vision to 2035".
In the first 7 months of the year, the total number of tourists reached 5.95 million (equal to 119% compared to the same period in 2022), of which, overnight guests reached more than 3.91 million (equal to 124% compared to the same period in 2022); international visitors reached 38,500. Total revenue from tourists reached 14,521 billion VND, of which, tourism revenue is estimated at 5,657 billion VND (equal to 141% compared to the same period in 2022).
