How long does a car need to be past its inspection deadline before it will be fined?
The situation of numerous vehicle inspection centers being overloaded or closed, as well as the tightening of inspection procedures, has caused many vehicle owners to delay their inspections, leading to the risk of heavy fines for overdue registration.
The 2008 Road Traffic Law stipulates that motor vehicles, including trailers or semi-trailers and other similar vehicles, must undergo periodic inspections for technical safety and environmental protection when participating in road traffic. At the same time, vehicle owners are responsible for ensuring and maintaining the safety of their vehicles according to prescribed standards between inspection periods.

After registering and logging into the website or app, vehicle owners can monitor the queuing status and operational status at the inspection centers and can schedule inspections remotely without having to bring their vehicles to the inspection location.
Currently, the Vehicle Inspection Center website and software system (ttdk.com.vn) has been deployed at 136 vehicle inspection centers across 53 provinces and cities, reaching over 50% of the total number of operating vehicle inspection centers nationwide.
