(Baonghean.vn) - Guiding their children and grandchildren in making star-shaped lanterns, cakes, etc., is how more than 20 families in the Hope and Believe group have been doing it.

Hope and Believe is a group of families in Vinh City who share the idea of giving their children early experiences with nature, strengthening family bonds, and developing essential life skills.

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, parents in the Hope and Believe group (Vinh City) are not taking their children to children's centers or buying expensive gifts. Instead, the group is organizing a family gathering where they can personally make and guide their children in making star-shaped lanterns and mooncakes, creating a truly meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival experience.

Over 20 families with 100 members, notably including grandparents from both sides of the family, created a Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere encompassing three generations. Grandfathers and fathers showed their children how to make star-shaped lanterns, a traditional Mid-Autumn gift passed down through generations. Grandmothers and mothers guided their children in making mooncakes, from kneading the dough and preparing the filling to baking and wrapping the cakes.

Ms. Le Lan Phuong, a member of the group, shared: "Organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival for the children with the idea of doing everything ourselves aims to help them understand the true value of the Mid-Autumn Festival as a family reunion, a traditional festival, and not just a holiday for receiving gifts or shopping."
