2018 National High School Literature Exam
At 9:30 AM, candidates finished their Literature exam. The image of a boat in the distance and domestic violence in a fishing family were featured in the Literature exam.
According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, this year, 925,753 candidates registered to take the exam nationwide. Of these, 879,705 candidates took the exam to be considered for high school graduation. 688,466 candidates used their results for university and college admissions.
Regarding the exams, 341,576 candidates registered for the Natural Sciences exam (accounting for 37%). The number of candidates registering for the Social Sciences exam was 444,538 (48%). 36,016 candidates registered for both combined subject exams (accounting for 4%).

The remaining 11% take the component subjects of the combined test (these are independent candidates taking the exam for university/college admission or independent candidates taking the exam for high school graduation recognition who have retained the component subjects of the combined test from 2017).
Across the country, there are 2,144 examination centers with 39,689 examination rooms. To ensure the exam is conducted in a strict and disciplined manner, the Ministry of Education and Training has mobilized more than 4,000 inspectors stationed at the examination centers, along with over 45,000 officials and lecturers to coordinate with local authorities in organizing the exam.
