The 2025 high school graduation exam will be held on the last two days of June.

By 5 PM on April 28th, the deadline for registering for the 2025 high school graduation exam, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that a total of 1,165,289 candidates had registered to take the exam, an increase of nearly 94,000 compared to 2024.

Of these, 1,122,507 candidates are 12th-grade students following the 2018 General Education Program (accounting for over 96%), while the rest are independent candidates.

This year's exam took place over two days, June 26th and 27th. Notably, 2025 marks the first year that students studying under the new curriculum will only take exams in four subjects: two compulsory subjects, Literature and Mathematics, along with two elective subjects from the list of subjects studied in grade 12 (including Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics and Law Education, and Informatics and Technology).

Specifically, the Literature exam is in essay format with a time limit of 120 minutes, consisting of two parts: Reading Comprehension (4 points) and Writing (6 points). The remaining subjects are multiple-choice exams, with a time limit of 90 minutes for Mathematics and 50 minutes for the other subjects.
