On the morning of March 15th, joining in the nationwide election festivities, a large number of voters in Nghe An province enthusiastically participated in the election of representatives to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
According to a report by the Nghe An Provincial Election Committee, nearly 2.4 million voters in the province have been registered and finalized to exercise their rights and fulfill their civic duties in electing representatives to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The election day atmosphere throughout the province was vibrant, enthusiastic, and in accordance with regulations. Along the streets and at polling stations, flags, banners, and slogans were brightly decorated; some localities organized lively cultural activities, creating an exciting atmosphere of a national festival.
On the morning of March 15th, voters in Nghe An province were present at 3,061 polling stations (excluding 55 early voting stations) to exercise their rights and civic duties, choosing representatives with political qualities, capabilities, and prestige to represent the will and aspirations of the people in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.
The organization and conduct of the elections were carried out systematically, seriously, and in accordance with the law by the polling stations, ensuring that it was truly a festival for the entire population.
According to a quick summary by the Nghe An Provincial Election Committee, as of 11:30 AM on March 15th, in 3,061 polling stations across 130 communes and wards, the average voter turnout reached 88.8%, equivalent to 2,087,615 out of 2,352,018 eligible voters casting their ballots.
Of these, 1,451 out of 3,116 polling stations (including 55 early polling stations) achieved a 100% voter turnout. Notably, four communes: Na Loi, My Ly, Hung Chan, and Huoi Tu (a total of 51 polling stations) completed 100% of their voting.
Regarding political security and social order, the situation throughout the province is currently stable, with no unexpected incidents related to the election process.
The physical and technical conditions for election day at all polling stations have been fully and meticulously prepared in accordance with regulations.
