Chung Son Temple is part of the project to preserve and restore the Kim Lien Historical Site, linked with the development of the Chung Mountain historical, ecological, and cultural tourism area, which was approved by the Central Party Secretariat in Notice No. 311-TB/TW dated March 8, 2012.

Chung Son Temple, located south of Chung Mountain in Kim Lien commune (Nam Dan district), was invested in and constructed by Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank in partnership with Nghe An province, starting in 2012.
