Phu Vinh Temple (also known as Nghe Temple) is located in Hamlet 4, Hung Nhan Commune (Hung Nguyen District) on a 12,000 m2 plot of land. Built during the Le Trung Hung period, the temple worships deities revered by the people as benevolent gods such as Tra Son, Ha Ba, Long Vuong... and national heroes such as Doctor Le Dac Toan and Au Dang De.
During the war against the Americans, Phu Vinh Temple served as a storage place for food supplies and a transit point for troops heading to the South. Every year, the temple hosts numerous festivals such as the Lunar New Year, the Upper Nguyên Festival, the Tra Son God Festival, the Luc Ngoat Festival, the Ha Dien Festival, and the commemoration of the ancestors of the deities. Among these, the Luc Ngoat Festival and the Ha Dien Festival are the two most important.
Having weathered the vicissitudes of history, the temple now retains the following structures: the triple gate, the lower hall, the middle hall, the upper hall, the shrine dedicated to the supervising official, and the courtyard. The temple also preserves many rare artifacts and documents, such as 13 statues of Buddha and Saints made of jackfruit wood; three large calligraphic inscriptions; and a well-preserved wooden dragon palanquin.
At the ceremony, representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province presented the certificate recognizing Phu Vinh Temple as a provincial-level historical relic to the leaders of Hung Nguyen district and Hung Nhan commune.
