King Mai Hac De Temple - Special National Historical Relic

(Baonghean.vn) - With many great values, the temple of King Mai Hac De in Nam Dan town has been ranked by the State as a special National Historical Relic.

According to historical documents, King Mai Hac De's real name was Mai Thuc Loan, born and raised in Ngoc Trung village, Dong Liet commune, now Nam Thai commune (hometown in Mai Phu village, Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province). In 713, he led the Hoan Chau uprising to overthrow the Tang Dynasty and establish the Van An state (713 - 722). Today, in the relic complex of King Mai in Nam Dan, there are two main places of worship: the temple of King Mai Hac De and the tomb of King Mai in Nam Dan town. The temple of King Mai Hac De was established by the people long ago and was built in a spacious manner during the Nguyen Dynasty. Up to now, the temple has undergone many restorations and embellishments, and currently has the following structures: Tam Quan gate, waiting room, upper hall, middle hall, lower hall... According to Decision No. 1649/QD-TTg dated December 29, 2022 of the Prime Minister, the temple of King Mai Hac De in Nam Dan town has been recognized as a special National Historical Relic. On the occasion of the 1310th anniversary of the Hoan Chau uprising, the 2023 King Mai Temple Festival, the leaders and people of Nam Dan district will be honored to receive the Certificate of recognition of the special National Historical Relic of the temple of King Mai Hac De.
