Denza Z Black Samurai: BYD's 1,000-horsepower electric supercar revealed.
The Denza Z Black Samurai electric supercar impresses with its power exceeding 1,000 horsepower, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2 seconds, and a suspension system that can predict road conditions.
Following rigorous testing at the Nürburgring racetrack in Germany, uncamouflaged images of the Denza Z Black Samurai (also known as Black Warrior) have officially surfaced. This is BYD Group's second all-electric supercar, building on the success of the Yangwang U9, and promises to be a formidable competitor in the global high-performance car segment.
Superior performance and Yi San Fang architecture
The Denza Z Black Samurai is built on the advanced Yi San Fang powertrain architecture. This powertrain allows the car to achieve a total maximum power output of over 1,000 horsepower. With this tremendous power, the car can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in less than 2 seconds, a performance comparable to today's top hypercars.
| Specifications | Detail |
|---|---|
| Maximum power | Over 1,000 horsepower |
| Acceleration time (0–100 km/h) | Under 2 seconds |
| Operational architecture | Yi San Fang |
| Seating configuration | 2+2 |

Yunlian-M suspension technology makes its debut.
The most groundbreaking feature of the Denza Z is its Yunlian-M variable suspension system. This is the world's first commercially available vehicle to utilize this technology, allowing for unlimited two-way damping adjustment. Notably, the system's response time is under 10 milliseconds, 100 times faster than traditional suspension systems currently in use.
Notably, the Yunlian-M system also integrates the ability to predict the road surface conditions ahead in 0.5 seconds. This allows the vehicle to proactively adjust the stiffness of the suspension, ensuring maximum stability when operating at high speeds or when cornering sharply, providing a safe and precise driving experience.
Aerodynamic design and minimalist cockpit.
In terms of exterior design, the Denza Z Black Samurai exudes power with its aggressive front wing and large, fixed carbon fiber rear wing. These details not only enhance aesthetics but also optimize downforce, helping the car maintain the best possible grip.
Inside the cockpit, the car is configured in a 2+2 seating arrangement with a sophisticated blue and yellow color scheme. The monocoque carbon fiber sports seats significantly reduce the vehicle's weight. Another unique feature is the steering wheel, which folds down with the push of a button, increasing the driver's space by 14%.
Mr. Li Hui, General Manager of Denza Auto, affirmed that the Denza Z is the culmination of many years of research from a team of thousands of engineers. This model not only represents speed and power but also demonstrates BYD's mastery of technology in the era of electrification.
