On May 16th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Hai Chau District Police, Da Nang City, initiated criminal proceedings and temporarily detained five young people for the offenses of "Intentional infliction of injury" and "Disrupting public order." To conceal their actions, the suspects wore masks and covered their motorbike license plates when committing the crimes.
Initial investigations revealed that, due to a conflict with another group (whose identities are unknown), Vo Khac Manh (born in 2009), residing in Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city, gathered a group of more than 10 friends on Nguyen Sinh Sac street, Lien Chieu district, to fight.
Before arriving at the meeting point, the suspects wore masks, covered their motorcycle license plates, and carried iron pipes, homemade knives, pitchforks, etc. Then, they rode their motorcycles in a horizontal formation on the road at high speed, revving their engines and honking loudly.
After circling around for a while without finding any rivals, Mạnh's group decided to go find and beat up another group of young men living on Hai Phong Street (Hai Chau District). When they got near the March 29th Park, they saw five young men on two motorbikes belonging to the group from Hai Phong Street, so Mạnh's group shouted and chased after them.

The chase continued to Hoang Van Thu Street, where a motorbike carrying three teenagers from a group residing on Hai Phong Street crashed. The teenagers abandoned the motorbike and ran into an alley, where they were chased and attacked by Manh's group, resulting in injuries to two of the teenagers.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Criminal Investigation Team of Hai Chau District Police promptly launched an investigation to identify the individuals involved.
