Hanoi National University and Nghe An Province collaborate to develop high-class tourism products.
(Baonghean.vn) - Hanoi National University will support Nghe An in developing high-tech products, unique specialties; developing high-class tourism; building smart cities; and responding to climate change.
These are the main points in the proposed cooperation plan between Hanoi National University and Nghe An province at the working session on the afternoon of September 17th.
Attending the event were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son – Director of Hanoi National University. Representing the provincial leadership were Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Mr. Le Xuan Dai - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders from several provincial departments and agencies.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the results of cooperation between Nghe An province and Hanoi National University after more than a year since the signing of the cooperation agreement on technology transfer, human resource development, tourism development, healthcare, social services, and investment promotion.
Currently, Hanoi National University has submitted proposals for three research topics: Building an interactive online tourism and cultural map of Vinh City and surrounding areas, Nghe An province; Developing a model for entrepreneurship training linked to tourism development for youth and women in Nghe An province; and Researching the development of a new generation distance learning system for high schools and junior high schools in mountainous areas of Nghe An province.
These topics are of high practical significance, address issues of current concern to the province, and are being included in the province's scientific research program for 2017.

In a spirit of frank discussion, the opinions of Hanoi National University also addressed the current challenges facing Nghe An, particularly in education and training, image building, tourism development, international cooperation, and high-tech agricultural development.
Hanoi National University also affirmed its commitment to deepening the cooperation, thereby contributing to the exploitation of strengths and potential, and helping Nghe An province to develop further.
Regarding cooperation with Nghe An province, the Vietnam National University assigns the International Cooperation Department as the focal point.
Regarding the proposed cooperation, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has identified the following: developing a cooperation program with content aligned with the province's socio-economic development strategy; implementing fundamental and breakthrough solutions through cooperation to realize the province's sectoral development strategies, creating unique and highly competitive elements; leveraging internal resources and combining them with VNU's international cooperation; and implementing tasks linked to the province's ability to attract investment and aligned with national and international development programs. The Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has proposed four areas of cooperation with Nghe An province: - Developing high-tech products and unique specialties. - Developing high-class tourism - To build and develop Nghe An, especially Vinh City, into a cultural, scientific, and educational center for the Central region. - Research and implement applications related to environmental protection and climate change adaptation. |

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh stated that cooperation with Hanoi National University is very significant for Nghe An province at present. Based on the principle of mutual benefit, he expressed his hope that in the future, both sides will carefully consider each cooperation program to ensure effective coordination.

The Provincial Party Secretary also affirmed that Nghe An is currently re-implementing its tourism and education development planning. Therefore, the province needs the support of Hanoi National University in developing regional planning, creating plans and mechanisms to build the image of Nghe An tourism in the media.
Furthermore, with its experience in training, Nghe An hopes that Hanoi National University will support the province and Vinh University in research, training of personnel, and attention to general education.
Regarding proposed cooperation initiatives for the future, after receiving feedback from relevant departments and agencies, the province will assign the Department of Planning and Investment to compile a report outlining the direction for implementation.
