Fourth-grade student drowns while fishing after storm.
(Baonghean.vn) - While fishing together, three cousins from Quynh Xuan ward, Hoang Mai town, unfortunately fell into a shrimp pond, and one of them drowned.
The child who drowned was Nguyen Van Duong (born in 2008), son of Mr. Nguyen Thien (residing in Block 7, Quynh Xuan Ward, Hoang Mai Town).

Earlier, at around 3 PM on July 19th, three children, Nguyen Tuan Kiet (born in 2008), Nguyen Van Duy Sinh (born in 2009), and Nguyen Van Duong (a 4th grade student at Quynh Xuan B Primary School), all residing in Block 7, Quynh Xuan Ward, Hoang Mai Town, went together to the river area next to the shrimp ponds of households in Block 6, Quynh Xuan Ward, to fish.
Unfortunately, all three children fell into a shrimp pond with a water depth of about 1.5 meters. Because they knew how to swim, Kiet and Sinh managed to swim to shore, then rode their bicycles to call for help to rescue Duong. Their house was about 500 meters from where the drowning occurred.

When locals discovered and pulled Nguyen Van Duong ashore, he was already dead. It is known that all three were cousins.
