Traveling on April 30th: Some flights are sold out, prices continue to increase
Many domestic flights have a booking rate of over 90%, even completely sold out during the April 30 - May 1 holiday. For peak routes, if there are still tickets left, the prices remain the same, or even slightly higher than two weeks ago.
Updated information on the situation of booking and selling air tickets up to April 26 compiled by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam from airlines shows that for flights departing from Hanoi on April 28 to tourist destinations such as Dong Hoi, Buon Ma Thuot, Con Dao, Rach Gia, the booking rate reached over 90%.
FromHanoiFlights to Hue, Pleiku, Can Tho, the booking rate is over 80% and flights to Cam Ranh, Da Nang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, Binh Dinh, this rate fluctuates from 65% to 77%.
However, on April 29 (the start of the holiday), except for flights to Da Nang, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, flights from Hanoi to tourist destinations such as Dong Hoi, Buon Ma Thuot, Pleiku, Hue, Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, Binh Dinh, Can Tho, and Con Dao all had a booking rate of over 90% and approximately 100%.

FromHo Chi Minh CityFlights to Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, Binh Dinh, and Con Dao were almost full on April 29, while flights to Da Nang, Hanoi, and Dong Hoi were only average.
For April 28, except for flights to Tuy Hoa and Binh Dinh with a booking rate of over 90%, flights to other tourist destinations were only at 70-80%.
On the other hand, as the holiday season is about to end, on May 2, the routes with high booking rates, over 90% to Hanoi are Buon Ma Thuot, Ca Mau, Tuy Hoa, Con Dao, Dong Hoi and to Ho Chi Minh City from Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, Van Don, Vinh.
On May 3 (the end of the holiday), the booking rate was over 90% for flights from Buon Ma Thuot, Tuy Hoa, Binh Dinh, Con Dao, Dong Hoi, Ca Mau to Hanoi and from Chu Lai, Tuy Hoa, Binh Dinh, Vinh to Ho Chi Minh City.
According to a survey of ticket prices for some flights on the ticketing systems of Vietnamese airlines, ticket prices decreased slightly, about 10-15% compared to two weeks ago on April 29 and vice versa on May 3.
However, this reduction is only for some evening flight hours or on routes with many unfilled flights.
Meanwhile, some flights from Hanoi and Saigon to Phu Quoc, Cam Ranh or Hanoi - Quy Nhon/Hue/Tuy Hoa/Dong Hoi,... (and the return flights) are sold out or the ticket prices are still the same, even slightly higher than two weeks ago for the rare flights with tickets left.
Typically, for the Hanoi - Tuy Hoa route, the round-trip ticket price for departure on April 29 and return on May 3 is up to nearly 7.3 million VND. This price is twice as expensive as usual, up 15% compared to two weeks ago and equal to the price of long-haul flights such as Phu Quoc or Nha Trang. There are also very few flights left, only one departure flight, two return flights with limited seats. If flying from Ho Chi Minh City, all flights are sold out.
Hanoi - Dong Hoi route, ticket price is also nearly 4 million VND, there are only flights departing in the afternoon and returning in the evening.
Ticket prices are only reduced by 30% or more compared to the old prices announced on the days before, after and during holidays such as April 26-27-30 and May 1-2-4-5 on all tourist routes.
