While taking graduation photos, 3 students drowned, 2 are missing.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 9th, a group of students went to take graduation photos on Lan Chau Island, Cua Lo. While swimming, three students drowned, and two are still missing.

Initial reports indicate that today, Sunday, a group of students from class 12A6 of Le Hong Phong High School (Hung Nguyen) went swimming and took graduation photos at the beach. While swimming near Lan Chau Island, three students from the class were swept away by the waves.

Upon discovering the incident, those present at sea quickly attempted to rescue them. Shortly afterward, a student named An was brought ashore, while two other students, named Thanh and Chuong, remain missing.

Upon receiving the information, local forces and the Nghe An Border Guard also arrived at the scene to coordinate search and rescue efforts.

Mr. Ho Van Hoang, Secretary of the Youth Union of Le Hong Phong High School, said: He, along with the school's leadership and the homeroom teacher of class 12 A6, are currently at the scene.

As of 7 PM on April 9th, rescue teams had still not found the two missing students. Authorities and the school are currently hiring additional personnel to search for them.
