While on a field trip, a male student drowned in Ma To Lake.
(Baonghean.vn) - After more than half a day of intensive searching, divers finally recovered the body of a male student who drowned in the lake. The victim was Ha Huy Manh (17 years old), residing in Hoa Thanh hamlet, Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district.
According to local information, on the afternoon of April 21st, Ha Huy Manh and a group of 40 friends went on a picnic. While swimming in Ma To Lake in Tan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Manh drowned. By the time people realized what had happened, Manh had already sunk and could not be saved.

Immediately afterwards, a search was urgently launched. Due to the lake's large size and depth, the search was quite difficult. The family hired boats and divers to search continuously from the evening of April 21st.
At 9:30 a.m. on April 22, divers discovered Mạnh's body submerged in the area where the incident occurred. His family took his body home for burial.
Reportedly, Mạnh is the eldest of five siblings (three girls and two boys) in a family facing financial difficulties. His father passed away just over two years ago. Mạnh is currently in 11th grade at Diễn Châu 2 High School.
