Major Vu Ba Re, Political Officer of the Muong Ai Border Guard Station, said: After the recent floods, heavy rains continued in the area, causing landslides, especially affecting houses near rivers and streams, which are at risk of being swept away.
Although the unit has not yet fully addressed the consequences of the floods, to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, we have temporarily suspended our own recovery efforts to help people relocate their homes to safe areas.
Currently, the Muong Ai Border Guard Station is coordinating with other forces and local authorities to review households whose houses are located near rivers and streams and are at risk of landslides, in order to develop relocation plans.
