Due to a pre-existing conflict, while attending a memorial service, Mr. Loi used a knife to injure a man from the same village and then went on to attack another person.

On September 12th, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Phuong, Head of the Tam Dai Commune Police (Phu Ninh District, Quang Nam Province), reported that a man had attacked two people with a knife, causing serious injuries.

According to Mr. Phuong, at around 3 PM on September 11th, a memorial service was held at the house of Mr. Huynh Hoa (residing in Dong Tay village, Tam Dai commune, Phu Ninh district). Among the invited guests were Mr. Pham Tan Loi (born in 1968) and Mr. Bui Dung Luong (born in 1975), both local residents.

Due to a pre-existing conflict, a heated argument broke out between Mr. Loi and Mr. Luong. After a while of arguing, Mr. Loi suddenly used a knife to slash at Mr. Luong's shoulder, but the blow missed. Seeing his opponent fall, Mr. Loi continued to slash at his back, inflicting a wound nearly 20cm long.

At that moment, Mr. Huynh Thang (a resident of Da Nang City) rushed in to intervene but was also struck in the chest by Mr. Loi's machete, resulting in serious injuries.

Both victims were taken to the hospital by local residents in a critical condition, having lost a lot of blood and suffering multiple injuries.

Currently, the case is being investigated by the Phu Ninh District Police (Quang Nam Province).
