A 10th grade student drowned while swimming in the dam.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from Yen Thanh District Youth Union, a tragic drowning incident has just occurred in the area. The victim was Nguyen Cong Hop (16 years old) in Hung Thanh commune.
Accordingly, at 5:30 p.m. on May 21, Hop and two friends invited each other to Quan Hai irrigation dam (in the area of Hung Thanh commune) to swim. While swimming in the middle of the dam, Hop drowned. The two friends discovered him, shouted, and called for help but it was too late.

Immediately after receiving the notice, the local authorities mobilized functional forces to coordinate with local people to organize search and rescue at the scene. At about 6:30 p.m. the same day, Hop's body was discovered.
It is known that Nguyen Cong Hop is a good and studious student, studying in class 10A5, Bac Yen Thanh High School.
