A 10th-grade student drowned while swimming in a dam.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from the Yen Thanh District Youth Union, a tragic drowning incident recently occurred in the area. The victim was Nguyen Cong Hop (16 years old) from Hung Thanh commune.
Accordingly, at 5:30 PM on May 21st, Hop and two friends went to the Quan Hai irrigation dam (located in Hung Thanh commune) to swim. While swimming in the middle of the dam, Hop drowned. His two friends noticed, shouted for help, but it was too late.

Immediately after receiving the notification, local authorities mobilized forces to coordinate with residents in organizing a search and rescue operation at the scene. At approximately 6:30 PM that same day, Hop's body was found.
It is known that Nguyen Cong Hop is a well-behaved and academically gifted student, currently in class 10 A5 at Bac Yen Thanh High School.
