To celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will have 15 fireworks display locations. These include 2 high-altitude fireworks displays and 13 low-altitude fireworks displays, including:
High-altitude fireworks display point
1. Saigon River Tunnel area (Thu Duc City)
2. Ben Duoc Martyrs' Memorial Temple (Cu Chi District)
Low-altitude fireworks display point
3. Thao Dien Urban Area
4. Saigon River area (Thu Duc City, 500m from Rach Chiec Bridge)
5. Rach Dia Bridge area (Nha Be district).
6. Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11)
7. Ben Ngoc Memorial Temple (Thu Duc City)
8. Memorial site of the Tet Offensive and Uprising of 1968 (Binh Chanh District)
9. Northwest Industrial Zone (Cu Chi District)
10. Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial Temple (Can Gio District)
11. Central Administrative Square of District 7,
12. 38-hectare residential park (Tan Thoi Nhat ward, District 12)
13. Peace Square (Go Vap District)
14. Nga Ba Giong Martyrs' Memorial (Hoc Mon District)
15. Binh Dien Market area (District 8).
The fireworks display will last 15 minutes, from 00:00 to 00:15 on January 29, 2025 (i.e., New Year's Eve of the Year of the Snake).
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports had provided information about activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Specifically, the plan includes a 3D light show projected onto the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee building on the evening of January 28th and an artistic fireworks display from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29th (New Year's Eve of the Year of the Snake).
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City will organize the exhibition "Celebrating the Year of the Snake - Celebrating the Glorious Party" from January 25th to February 9th, 2025 at Lam Son Park opposite the City Theater, Dong Khoi Street and Pasteur - Ly Tu Trong Street.
A Tet flower market with a distinctive "On the docks, under the boats" theme will be held from January 14th to January 28th in District 8.
The Spring Flower Festival and Tet Flower Market will take place from January 26th to February 2nd at Tao Dan Park. Other events include the Nguyen Hue Flower Street Festival, the Book Street Festival, and various cultural and artistic activities.
The Tet Cake Festival will be held on January 21st and 22nd at the National Historical and Cultural Park, Thu Duc City; the ceremony of offering Tet cakes to the National Ancestor Hung Vuong and Duke Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh will begin at 8:00 AM on January 24th.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City will organize a gathering of overseas Vietnamese, a meeting with consular delegations from various countries at the beginning of the year, a ceremony at the City Cemetery, a ceremony to offer incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang, and many other activities.
