The 'healing' location is likened to a 'miniature Ha Long Bay'.
Around September and October each year, during the dry season, small islets in Hoa Trung Lake reappear, creating a landscape like a "miniature Ha Long Bay" in Da Nang.
Located approximately 20 km from Da Nang city center and nearly 7 km from the DT602 road (towards Ba Na Hills), Hoa Trung Lake is a favorite destination for locals and travel enthusiasts alike, boasting lush green scenery, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing weekend getaway.
Hoa Trung is an artificial lake that provides water for domestic use and irrigation for residents of Hoa Lien and Hoa Ninh communes in Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city.

Each season brings its own unique beauty to this place. Among them, the dry season (approximately from September to October) is considered the ideal time to explore this lake.
At that time, the weather was cool, with few clouds, and the lake's surface was clear and calm. Moreover, the receding tide revealed small islands-like islets rising above the lake, creating a picturesque scene often described as a "miniature Ha Long Bay."

According to Pham Quang Tuan (blogger Tuan Cuong Chan), who visited Hoa Trung Lake in early September, the destination is currently in its dry season. Around and beneath the lake, many areas are covered in lush green grass, making it ideal for tourists to take photos.
“Previously, after the dam released water, the lake surface became a wide valley with lush green grass, so many tourists came here to camp overnight and participate in activities to immerse themselves in nature. However, now camping is no longer allowed in this area; people can only stroll around the lake and enjoy themselves during the day,” Mr. Tuan said.

According to a blogger currently living in Da Nang, tourists should visit Hoa Trung Lake in the early morning or late afternoon. At these times, the weather is cool, the sunlight is gentle, making it convenient for tourists to take photos or admire the romantic sunrise and sunset.
The road to Hoa Trung Lake is quite convenient, but it's deserted and far away, so tourists should remember to fill up their gas tank before the trip and bring snacks and drinks, as there are no shops or tourist services in the area yet.
"When visiting, tourists need to observe and follow the regulations on the signs and directions around the lake to ensure safety. After having fun and eating, remember to clean up your trash," Mr. Tuan added.

The blogger also suggested that, on the way to Hoa Trung Lake, tourists can combine their trip with a visit to Nam O fishing village (also in Lien Chieu district) to experience local cuisine and enjoy some delicious and affordable dishes such as herring salad, squid hotpot, etc.
