As the dengue fever epidemic enters its peak period, the Nghe An Department of Health requests increased efforts in epidemic prevention and control.
The Department of Health requests that all units implement infection control measures in accordance with regulations, and prevent outbreaks within medical examination and treatment facilities.

Healthcare units guide patients, their families, healthcare workers, trainees, and interns on appropriate measures to prevent the spread of dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, and Covid-19.
Effectively carry out medical examinations, patient admissions, treatment, and timely emergency care; strengthen protection for high-risk patients; and minimize cases of severe illness and death.
Appropriate inpatient admissions should be made in accordance with diagnostic and treatment guidelines for dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, and COVID-19; patients should be advised and guided on how to care for mild cases at home according to diagnostic and treatment guidelines. Infection control measures should be implemented correctly to prevent outbreaks within healthcare facilities.
At this time, Nghe An province in particular and Vietnam in general are entering the peak season for dengue fever.
