In Dien Nguyen commune, the diseaseAfrican swine feveralso recurred from February 23 in some households. On March 2, another pig farming household was infected. Currently, local authorities are implementing epidemic prevention solutions according to regulations of the Veterinary Department.
According to data from the Dien Chau District Agricultural Service Center, during Tet, African swine fever recurred in some communes: Minh Chau, Dien Loc... and then the epidemic was controlled. However, since February, the epidemic has recurred in 3 communes: Dien Nguyen, Dien Phu and Dien Thai, with 5 households having pigs that had to be destroyed.
To effectively prevent and control the epidemic, the district directed localities to step up propaganda work so that people know and implement epidemic prevention solutions, the most important of which is to do a good job of disinfection and not transport pigs in and out of epidemic areas.
Dien Chau district currently has about 27 thousand pigs, a significant decrease compared to the time before the outbreak of African swine fever in early 2019.
