Car refurbishment services in Nghe An are in high demand as Tet approaches.
The period leading up to the Lunar New Year is when many car owners take their beloved vehicles for a makeover before taking them out for trips and vacations with family and friends. Car detailing shops in Nghe An are extremely busy during this time.

With only a few days left until the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, many car owners are rushing to refurbish and beautify their vehicles for the spring festivities, making the demand for car detailing services hotter than ever.
At a garage on Le Loi Street in Vinh City, a large number of cars are waiting. The owner said that most of the cars come here to have scratches polished and to have accessories added, such as LED lights, speakers, and leather seat covers, so that the cars look better for Tet (Lunar New Year). On average, the shop receives about 25-30 cars a weekday, two to three times more than on a normal day. The mechanics have to work through lunchtime, sometimes until midnight before they can rest.

At another garage on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street in Vinh City, over 20 cars were lined up waiting for their turn. The owner of the garage said: The cars come here for quick maintenance, basic cleaning of the engine compartment and interior and exterior, and removal of scratches on the surface, taking 1-2 hours… the price ranges from 800,000 to 1.2 million VND per service. Some customers want to replace their entertainment system from the original screen to an Android screen for more entertainment and driving assistance features.
In particular, over the past month, many people in Nghe An have purchased electric cars, and after buying them, they all have a need to "upgrade." At a garage located west of the intersection of roads 32 and 72 in Vinh City, we saw a significant number of electric cars being brought in by customers for interior refurbishment.

Mr. Tran Van Vinh from Dien Chau district said: "Electric cars still have some limitations, so we brought our car here to upgrade the seats with electric adjustments, change the color, reupholster the interior with leather, add decals, upgrade the sound system... We also reupholstered the door panels and dashboard with leather, covered the headliner with suede, and installed accessories to reduce noise and vibration..."
The owner of this garage confided: "During Tet, the demand for cars is quite high, and our 12 mechanics have to work at full capacity, even working overtime until 2 AM to serve customers." At other auto garages in the districts of Do Luong, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, etc., surveys show that the number of customers has doubled compared to normal days. Mechanics are racing against time to meet customer demand and try to earn extra income during the Tet season.

Upgrading and beautifying cars with accessories helps make them look better for the Lunar New Year. However, according to experts, after buying a car, many people add accessories, and interfering with the car's design can lead to short circuits and fires. Low-quality "accessories" or incorrect wiring are common causes of cars catching fire after modifications.

Vehicle owners need to pay attention to legal regulations to ensure their vehicles don't encounter problems during inspection. For example, changing the paint color or applying decals that make the vehicle difficult to identify and cause confusion can still result in penalties. Therefore, customers need to research carefully and choose reputable places to repair and refurbish their vehicles to ensure safety.
