Former Ha Tinh Provincial Party Secretary Vo Kim Cu was dismissed from office.

Former Quang Nam Party Secretary Le Phuoc Thanh was dismissed from office.

On February 5, the Secretariat dismissed Mr. Le Phuoc Thanh from the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term.

The Secretariat found that, as the leader, Mr. Thanh was primarily responsible for the violations and shortcomings of the Provincial Party Standing Committee for the 2010-2015 term and the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee for the 2011-2016 term.

Mr. Thanh also violated the principle of democratic centralism, the Working Regulations and the Party and State's regulations on personnel work; was not exemplary, showed favoritism and favoritism for his family in planning, training, rotation, transfer and appointment of Mr. Le Phuoc Hoai Bao (Mr. Thanh's son) to positions that did not meet the standards, violated the process and procedures; and allowed the Provincial People's Committee to decide to send Mr. Le Phuoc Hoai Bao to study for a master's degree abroad using the State budget, which was not in accordance with regulations.
