Minimum admission scores for Medical and Pharmaceutical majors have been reduced by 2 points across the board.
The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the minimum quality assurance threshold for admission to medical and pharmaceutical fields in 2025, with the minimum score uniformly reduced by 2 points compared to the previous year, ranging from 17 to 20.5 points.

According to the latest announcement from the Ministry of Education and Training, Medicine and Dentistry continue to hold the top positions with the highest minimum admission scores at 20.5 points. Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy follow with 19 points.

Meanwhile, the remaining majors in the Medical and Pharmaceutical field, including Nursing, Preventive Medicine, Midwifery, Dental Prosthetics Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, and Rehabilitation Technology, all have a minimum admission score of 17 points.
Compared to 2024, the minimum admission scores for all majors in the Medical and Pharmaceutical group have been adjusted down by up to 2 points. The Ministry of Education and Training also clearly stipulates that schools are not allowed to set scores lower than this threshold.

Admissions schedule: Applicants need to be aware of the important dates.
Besides announcing the minimum admission scores, the Ministry of Education and Training also reminded candidates about the key timelines in the 2025 university admission process to ensure their rights and not miss out on opportunities:
Registration and adjustment of preferences: Candidates can register or adjust their preferences an unlimited number of times on the Ministry of Education and Training's common system from July 16th to 5 PM on July 28th.
Application fee payment: From July 29th to 5 PM on August 5th, candidates must pay the application fee online according to the number of registered preferences.
Announcement of cutoff scores: The cutoff scores for university admissions are expected to be announced before 5 PM on August 22nd.
Admission Confirmation: All successful candidates (including those admitted directly) must complete the admission confirmation on the system before 5:30 PM on August 30th if they wish to enroll.
Supplementary admissions: From September 1st to December 2025, candidates wishing to apply for supplementary admissions can follow the detailed admissions information posted on the admissions information page of each educational institution.
