Minimum admission score for university in 2017: 15.5 points

This morning, July 12th, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the minimum admission scores for universities in 2017. Accordingly, the minimum admission score for universities in 2017 is 15.5 points for all subject combinations. Compared to last year, the minimum score has increased by 0.5 points.

The above threshold is the total score of the three subjects in the 2017 National High School Graduation Examination, without applying any weighting factors, and excluding regional and preferential treatment points.

Some universities will use different subject combinations for admissions, and the Council will provide general guidelines for implementation.

After the Ministry of Education and Training announces the minimum admission scores, universities then set their own admission scores.

Candidates are allowed to change their college application preferences from July 15th. On August 1st, universities will announce the list of admitted students.

In 2016, the minimum admission score for universities, applicable to all subject groups A, A1, B, C, and D, was 15.
